Rory's Story Part Seven: The Big Bang

Here's part seven of Rory's Story, a feature looking at Rory's involvement in previous Doctor Who episodes (a bit like a prequel to the upcoming Rory Watch) from The Eleventh Hour to A Good Man Goes to War. Rory's Story will be posted twice a day until Friday 26 August, the day Let's Kill Hitler airs:
PART SEVEN: THE BIG BANG (Series 5, Episode 13)

So, we come to the end of Rory Pond's adventures in Series 5. We see Rory in The Big Bang first just after the pre-titles, crying over the dead body of Amy, who he shot at the end of The Pandorica Opens. Just as he wishes for a miracle,  (it may have comforted Rory if he'd been told the Miracle was only 1909 years away) for Amy to wake up, the Doctor pops up out of nowhere! To Rory's bewilderment, the future Doctor (wearing THE fez and carrying a mop) tells Rory that Amy can be saved, but Rory has to unlock the Pandorica to let the past Doctor out. Rory does that, and the past Doctor, after being smacked in the face by Rory (:D) tells Rory that Amy can be brought back to life by a DNA imprint from Amy's younger self 2000 years later. The Doctor teleports to the National Museum 1908 years later when Amy's been brought back and let out of the Pandorica, while Rory stays in 102 AD, guarding the Pandorica. This set up the 'Lone Centurion' legend thing. Back in the present, Rory saves the two Amy's and the Doctor by using his Auton gun hand to shoot a stone Dalek down. After that, Rory and Amy reunite. They escape from the Pandorica room, and head up the stairs (during this the Doctor goes back to 102 AD to tell past Rory to get him of the Pandorica) where they see a future Doctor teleporting to the top of the stairs, then dying. They make it to the roof, where the Doctor rescues River from the exploding TARDIS, and run back downstairs, where the Doctor is shot by the stone Dalek. Rory again uses his Auton gun hand to shoot the Dalek and weaken it. Rory and Amy go back downstairs to discover that the Doctor isn't dead- he had put himself in the Pandorica instead. Rory is rebooted as a normal human when the Doctor reboots the universe, and after the Doctor (remembered back into existence) crashes his wedding to Amy, gets married. The episode ends with Rory, the Doctor and Amy setting off for more adventures *puts on annoying BBC America voice over man voice* in TIME AND SPACE.
Part 8, A Christmas Carol, will be done by GoodGum this afternoon.
